§ 2-48. Recruiting.

  • (a)

    It is the policy of the Town of Baldwin that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, creed, color, sex, age, national origin, political affiliation, political beliefs, religion or genetics. Applicants with physical or mental handicaps shall be given consideration for positions in which their handicap does not present an unreasonable barrier to the satisfactory performance of duty. In addition we encourage the employment of veterans. The town offers equal employment opportunities for all employees and qualified applicants.

    (b)

    A valid driver's license shall be required for all employees who drive any town vehicle. A CDL may be required in some incidents as necessary or required by law.
