§ 21-11. Permit required for drilling well within the town.

  • Prior to anyone drilling a well within the town and installing a pump thereon, there shall be obtained from the town a permit, which will be issued only after the town is satisfied that the well being drilled will be used only for lawns, gardens and other purposes and not for drinking water or plumbing use. The cost of the permit shall be three dollars ($3.00). Anyone violating this section shall be subject to a fine not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) and imprisonment not to exceed sixty (60) days.
