§ 21-1. Connections required; exclusive use.

(a)

The owner, tenant or occupant of each lot or parcel of land within the town that abuts a street served by the water system or the sewage disposal system, and upon which a building has been constructed for residential, commercial or industrial use shall connect to each such system within six (6) months after the later of:

(1)

The date the building is constructed; and

(2)

The date the system is available for connection.

(b)

After connection to the sewage disposal system such owner shall cease to use any other method for the disposal of sewage; and after connection to the water system such owner shall cease to use any other method of water supply, except for lawn and gardening purposes.
