§ 13-15. Definitions.

  • The following definitions shall be applicable to the words when used in this article:

    Dependent unit: A trailer not having a toilet and bathtub or shower, or any trailer not providing a plumbing system suitable for connections to the park sewerage system.

    Garbage: Waste products of all animal or vegetable matter resulting from growing, processing, marketing and preparation of food items, including containers in which the same are packaged.

    Independent unit: A trailer having a toilet and bathtub or shower. This term includes mobile homes and other units defined in Subsection (2) of this section which are properly plumbed in accordance with provisions of Chapter 10D-9 of the Florida Administrative Code.

    Refuse: All solid waste except body wastes, including rubbish and ashes.

    Sanitary station: A facility used for the receiving and disposing of wastes from trailer holding tanks.

    Self-contained unit: A trailer which can operate independent of connections to sewer and water systems. It contains a waterflushed toilet, lavatory, shower and kitchen sink, all of which are connected to water storage and sewage holding tanks located within the trailer.

    Service building: A building containing water closets, urinals, lavatories or bathing facilities for use by persons using the park.

    Trailer: As used in this section, this term shall mean any of the following:

    (1)

    Mobile home: A transportable, single-family dwelling unit suitable for year-round occupancy, which is manufactured on a chassis or undercarriage and is an integral part thereof.

    Travel trailer: A vehicular, portable, structure-built chassis, designed as a temporary dwelling for travel, recreation and vacation, having a body width not exceeding eight (8) feet and being of any length, provided that its body length does not exceed thirty-five (35) feet, and may include any of the following:

    a.

    Auto camper: A lightweight, collapsible unit that is transported on an automobile or other vehicle and designed for travel, recreation and vacation uses.

    b.

    Camping trailer: A canvas or other collapsible folding structure, mounted on wheels and designed for travel, recreation and vacation use.

    c.

    Motor home: A portable temporary dwelling to be used for travel, recreation and vacation, constructed as an integral part of a self-propelled vehicle.

    d.

    Other travel units: Other units designed for travel, recreation and vacation uses not specifically described above.

    e.

    Pickup coach: A structure designed to be mounted on a truck chassis for use as a temporary dwelling for travel, recreation and vacation.

    Trailer park: A place set aside and offered by any person, firm, corporation, municipality or other public body for the parking and accommodation of two (2) or more automobile trailers, travel trailers or recreation units occupied for sleeping or eating, for either direct money consideration or for indirect benefit to the owner, lessee or operator of such place. The term trailer park shall include and be synonymous with trailer camp, mobile home park or any other designation used to describe a park for accommodating trailers as defined in section 13-16.

    Trailer space: A parcel of land in a mobile home park for the placement of a single trailer and the exclusive use of its occupants.

    Watering station: A facility for filling the water-storage tanks of trailers with potable water from an approved water system pursuant to the provisions of 10D-4FAC.
